Student Ambassador

The BC Student Ambassadors play a vital role in the recruitment efforts of the Office of Admissions. As the main campus tour guides at BC, they help shape the first impressions of prospective students and their families. Ambassadors often connect with visitors in ways that staff and faculty cannot, making a lasting impact on their experience and often determining the success of a visit. This is a paid position, with a starting rate of $12/hour. 

Student Ambassadors should be

  • Personable, friendly, polite, and respectful
  • Comfortable engaging with a diverse group, including visitors and admissions staff
  • Involved on campus and knowledgeable about many aspects of Bridgewater College
  • Able to build rapport and meaningful connections with visitors


Additional requirements:

  • Full-time student in good academic and social standing
  • Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA


Expectations:

  • Maintain at least one weekly tour shift
  • Participate in major admissions events (Open Houses and Admitted Student Days)
  • Attend required training sessions
  • Assist with office tasks (postcard campaign, inventory, event prep, etc...)
  • Keep honest and accurate timecard reflecting all hours worked
